Enzyme Kinetics

Problem 3- Given a Lineweaver-Burk plot, determine the Vmax of a particular enzyme.

The following is a Lineweaver-Burk plot of kinetic data for a particular enzyme. Based on this data, determine the Vmax of the enzyme.

graph 1/[S] vs 1/V

Recall the Lineweaver-Burk equation,

1/V = (Km + [S])/Vmax[S] = (km/vmax)(1/[S]) + 1/vmax.
