The expression log_{3} (4) + log_{3} (6) can be written as a single logarthm using the following property of logarithms:

log_{a} (m) + log_{a} (n) = log_{a} (m · n)

Therefore, using this property we have,

log_{3} (4) + log_{3} (6) = log_{3} (4·6) = log_{3} (24).
