Power Functions Problem 8

Incorrect!

Tutorial to help us answer problem 8.

The function,

is not defined at x = 0, but is defined everywhere else because p = r/s with |s| odd. Therefore, f (x) has vertical asymptote x = 0. Furthermore,
g (x) = x-5/3 → -∞ as x → 0 - and g (x) → ∞ as x → 0 + because p = r/s < 0 with |r| and |s| odd. Thus, because f (x) = -2g(x), f (x) → ∞ as x → 0- and f(x) → -∞ as x → 0+.
